As we enter this new month, we are once again blessed with the grace of receiving Our Lady’s message from Medjugorje. Her words come to us as a gentle reminder to pause, to listen, and to re-orient our hearts toward God. In these busy days leading into Advent, Our Lady invites us to open ourselves to peace, to prayer, and to the hope that only God can give.
With simplicity and motherly love, she encourages us to follow her example, to pray for those who do not pray, and to believe that the good we offer will always bear fruit in God’s hands. May this message help us begin the month with renewed faith, deeper trust, and hearts ready to receive the grace of this holy season.
november 25, 2025 – Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje
Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling you to follow me. Pray for those who do not pray and do not want peace and joy, which only the Most High can give. May your souls be united in the joy of expectancy and your heart will be filled with peace. You will be convinced, little children, that all will be good and that God will bless all; because the good that you give will return to you, and joy will enfold your heart because you are with God and in God. Thank you for having responded to my call.
(With Ecclesiastical approval)
Reflection by Fr. Jim Williams
One approach through which Jesus called his disciples was by inviting them to follow Him (Mark 1:17, Matthew 4:19). Regarding the concept of following Mary, she is regarded as an exemplary model of devotion to God from a human perspective. Emulating her example entails:
Strong Faith: Mary's unwavering trust in God's plan, notably demonstrated by her assent (fiat) to the Angel Gabriel at the Annunciation, exemplifies complete surrender to divine will, even in the face of uncertainty.
Humility: Although she is the Queen of all creation, she is the "perfect disciple" of Christ, who humbly accepted a unique and challenging role in salvation history. Her response "Let it be done to me according to your word," is a model for how all believers should respond to God.
Reflection: The Gospels note that Mary "pondered" events in her heart, demonstrating a life of deep internal reflection and prayer.
Loyalty: She remained with Jesus throughout his life, including at the foot of the Cross during his Passion, showing enduring courage and strength in suffering.
Praying for Those Who Seek Joy and Peace but Do Not Pray Following Our Lady’s example means not only striving for personal holiness, but also interceding for others who desire joy and peace but do not pray themselves. This act of spiritual charity reflects Mary’s role as an intercessor, especially evident at the Wedding at Cana. When she noticed the need of the newly married couple, she brought their situation to Jesus, resulting in His first miracle (John 2:1-11).
In our lives, we encounter many people who long for peace and joy but may not turn to prayer. As followers of Mary, we are called to pray on their behalf, asking for her prayers and intercession with her son, Jesus. Just as we might request prayers from friends or family for those in need, we bring these intentions to Mary, trusting in her compassionate advocacy.
Ultimately, praying for those who do not pray is an essential part of living out Our Lady’s call, showing love and concern for others by seeking God’s blessings of joy and peace for them.
A Certain Path to Jesus Devotion to Mary is regarded as a pathway that ultimately brings believers closer to Christ. The well-known phrase, "To Jesus, through Mary," encapsulates this idea. By following Mary's example and seeking her intercession, believers are guided to deepen their relationship with Jesus.
Mary's advice to the servants at the Wedding at Cana, "Do whatever he tells you,” serves as her enduring message to all believers. This counsel highlights her role in directing others toward faithful obedience to Christ. Through devotion to Mary, Christians are encouraged to listen to and follow Jesus, as she always points the way to her Son.
Catholic Traditions Surrounding Mary Catholic traditions place a strong emphasis on devotion to Mary, recognizing her unique role and intercessory power. Practices such as praying the Rosary and reflecting on Marian apparitions are central aspects of these devotions. Through the Rosary, believers meditate on the significant events in Jesus' life and Our Lady's participation in salvation history. Marian apparitions also hold an important place, as they are seen as moments where Mary communicates messages of faith and encouragement to the faithful. Additionally, specific dogmas highlight Mary's singular position within the Church. The dogma of the Immaculate Conception teaches that Mary was conceived without original sin, underscoring her purity and readiness to fulfill her role as the Mother of Jesus. The Assumption, another key dogma, affirms that Mary was taken body and soul into heaven, reflecting her closeness to God and her continuing intercession for believers. Altogether, these traditions and teachings illustrate the special honor given to Mary in Catholic practice and doctrine, and they encourage the faithful to seek her intercession and follow her example.
When Our Lady talks about the joy of expectancy fills us with peace my guess is that because she gives this message at the beginning of Advent, she may be talking about the expectancy we have before Christmas. This does not have anything to do with anticipating material gifts, but spiritual gifts from the celebration of Christmas.
She says, “All will be good, and God will bless us when we do good things, and then the good returns to us.” Once again, she must be talking about spiritual gifts.
The Joy of Expectancy in Advent When Our Lady speaks about the joy of expectancy that fills us with peace, it is likely in reference to the sense of anticipation we experience at the beginning of Advent, as we look forward to Christmas. This expectancy is not rooted in the anticipation of material gifts, but rather in the spiritual gifts that come from celebrating the birth of Christ.
Our Lady assures us, “All will be good, and God will bless us when we do good things, and then the good returns to us.” This message speaks of the spiritual blessings we receive when we perform good actions. Much like giving a Christmas present, sharing spiritual gifts with others brings joy and peace not only to them but also to us. The gratitude received in return for a meaningful gift, especially one that meets real need, can fill our hearts with a deep sense of joy and peace.
Spiritual gifts, however, are the most significant of all. There are many ways to give spiritual gifts. One way is by offering a Rosary for someone in need of prayers. Another is arranging to have a Mass celebrated for someone, whether they are living or deceased. If it is not possible to have a Mass offered, we can still attend Holy Mass and offer our own communion for a specific person’s intention.
Additionally, we can offer our daily hardships for the conversion of people in our lives. Even the simple act of performing household chores or tackling tedious tasks without complaint can be offered as a spiritual gift for others. In this way, our everyday actions and sacrifices become powerful prayers for those around us.
The central message for this month is to follow the example of Our Lady and her faithful discipleship. By embracing her spirit of expectancy and generosity, and by offering spiritual gifts for others, we embody her message and invite God’s blessings during this holy season. May God bless everyone during this special time of year.

Let us begin with openness of heart. May we take Our Lady’s invitation to heart and renew our commitment to prayer, peace, and acts of love. As we enter this holy season, may our homes become places of gentleness, our relationships strengthened by compassion, and our communities united by the desire to do good. May this month be a new beginning, a time when we open our hearts to God’s grace and allow His peace to dwell within us and flow through us to others.
