In this month’s message from Medjugorje, the Queen of Peace gently calls us to a new life—one rooted in joy and prayer. She reminds us that when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, our lives can become a source of refreshment for others, flowing with peace, love, and God’s presence.

APRIL 25, 2026 – Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje

Dear children, I am praying for you and encourage you to a new life, a life in joy and prayer. May the Holy Spirit fill you, little children, with joy so that you may be like a spring of pure and drinkable water; that you, little children, may be in God and with God missionaries of love and peace. Your life is short here on earth and that is why I am with you to lead you towards Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call.

(With Ecclesiastical approval)

Reflection by Fr. James Williams

The message we’re given this month from the Queen of Peace is a gentle but unmistakable invitation once again: live with joy, live with prayer, and

let your life become a source of refreshment for others. The image of being “a spring of pure and drinkable water” is not only poetic—it’s profoundly practical. Springs don’t strain to produce water; they flow because of what feeds them beneath the surface. In the same way, a life rooted in prayer naturally overflows into joy, peace, and love, because Jesus is our source of living water. Jesus often talks about springs of living water in the Gospels (John 7:37-39).

There’s also a quiet urgency woven through the message. We’re reminded that our time on earth is short—not to frighten us, but to focus us. When we remember that our days are limited, we begin to see each moment differently. All too often we get so caught up in our life problems that we forget about what is most important, the salvation of our soul. We forget that this could be our last day on Earth. Small acts of kindness take on new weight when we realize what is most important on our day. Ordinary conversations become opportunities for grace. Daily routines become places where God works through us.

To be “missionaries of love and peace” doesn’t require a passport or a pulpit. It simply asks us to be attentive—to notice the people around us, to respond with compassion, to choose peace when

conflict would be easier. The Holy Spirit’s joy is not meant to be stored; it’s

meant to be shared. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are often meant to be shared within our believing community. The more we give the more we receive.

And perhaps the most comforting line is the assurance of accompaniment: “I am with you to lead you toward Heaven.” We are not navigating this life alone, Our Lord, Our Lady, our Guardian Angel, and Patron Saints are all with us. We are being guided, encouraged, and lifted—sometimes quietly, sometimes unmistakably—toward the fullness of life God desires for us. All we have to do is imitate Our Lady and say, “yes”.

As we move through the next month, may we allow ourselves to be filled, so that we can overflow. Ask God to give you a presence that brings peace. That He’ll be in our words to carry love. And that our lives, however ordinary they may seem, point gently toward Heaven, and everlasting happiness and peace.

— Fr. James Williams

May this reflection encourage us to live each day with joy and prayer, to remain open to the Holy Spirit, and to become a source of peace and love for others, trusting that God is leading us toward Heaven.
