Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

From June 3–11, Catholics across the United States are invited to join in praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in preparation for the consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by the U.S. bishops on June 11, 2026.
This special consecration will take place as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Through this novena, the faithful are invited to renew their trust in Christ, deepen their devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and pray for healing, mercy, peace, and the renewal of faith throughout our nation.
Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus has been a treasured part of Catholic spiritual life for centuries, reminding us of Christ’s endless love, mercy, and compassion for humanity. Through prayer and reflection on the Heart of Jesus, we are called to draw closer to Him, place our trust in His care, and bring His love into our families, communities, and daily lives.
This novena draws its daily reflections from the Litany of the Sacred Heart and includes meditations inspired by the wisdom of saints, popes, and recent Church teachings. Each day focuses on a different aspect of the Heart of Jesus, inviting us to grow in faith, hope, compassion, and trust in God’s mercy.
As we prepare for the consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we invite you to join Catholics across the country in prayer during these nine days and entrust our nation, our families, and our hearts to Christ.
